2 tablespoons red plum jam
1/2 tsp red wine vinegar
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp dried thyme leaves or 3/4 tsp fresh minced leaves
1/4 tsp allspice
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper (ground red pepper)
- In a small, heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine all ingredients. Blend well.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook, stirring, until jam is completely melted, about 3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and cover until ready to use.
